HENRY LADDS. ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome, I am Henry Ladds, a graduate of Birmingham City University and a young bold creative. I have been creating graphics since 2017 and have created a wide range of outcomes and formats that each had their own individual challenges I had to overcome, all with their fun and learning points also.

As a multi-discipline creative, I have found particular interests in UX/UI for web and apps, layout, editorial structure, album covers, print formats like posters, signs along with other more project particular ideas.

I love my music, sports, film, TV and traveling. My wide and vast taste of music really helps when it comes to inspiration, as album covers are some of my favourite forms of graphic design and listening to so much music has helped me with visual idea generation and how designs can make you feel something.

EXPERIENCE AND CHARITY WORK.

Towards the end of my time at university [from April to June 2025], I had landed my first freelance gig. A non-profit eating disorder charity called Club Majority who looked at helping the underrepresented and guiding them with professional support and a friendly arm around their shoulder. They where a great first client for me, still at uni they understood my situation and I worked with the CEO of Club Majority who allowed me to fully explore creative ideas, grow my communication skills and customer satisfaction as I would send him lots of ideas for him to pick out which ones he preferred to take forward.

Early 2026, I joined the small graphics team at Hampshire based charity Hammersley Homes. A mental illness charity who like Club Majority, aim to offer professional help and approachable support for those struggling or family going through hard times with mental illness. Their small team has really helped me to get stuck in to social media content, updates and posters for many events that the charity get involved with. I really grew my communication skills under this role as so many people outside the team where planning things that needed some design expertise.
